Driven. Extremely Talented. Future Champion.
Snowboarding prodigy and superstar in the making, Valentino Guseli is a 18-year-old Pipe & Park Snowboarder, originally hailing from Canberra, ACT but now living in the small NSW Coastal town, Dalmeny. Val’s parents, Kristen and Ric Guseli, are snowboarding enthusiasts who took Valentino to the snow as a baby and since he was 3 years old, he has been a standout on the board. Although still young, Val has taken the snowboarding world by storm in his first few years on tour after an astonishing junior career. At the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing he placed 6th in the Half-Pipe. Backing that performance up, Val has had a stellar 22/23 season, showing unprecedented ability across all 3 park & pipe snowboard disciplines (Half-Pipe, Big Air & Slopestyle), achieving consistent top 5 placings at most events, his first gold medal in Big Air and his first podium in Half-Pipe. Most impressively, he also made history by becoming the first snowboarder in history to stand on the podium in all 3 of the park & pipe disciplines in a single season.
Val has also put the snowboarding world on notice by breaking the world record for the highest snowboard halfpipe air. No small feat given the last person to set the record of 7 metres, in 2010, was 3x Olympic gold medallist and American snowboarding legend Shaun White.
Growing up on the coast, Val also loves to surf, something he also competes in at a high level. Competing around the world at such a young age shows the magnitude of his character and focus – Val is confident, capable and driven. With a big smile on his face and the talent to be the best in the world, Val loves what he does and is a wonderful ambassador for his sport.
Val will be looking to make more history at the 2026 Olympics by being the first male athlete to go for gold in 3 separate disciplines: Half-Pipe, Slopestyle & Big Air.
